These two videos are existing A2 music videos.
My Chemical Romance - Welcome To The Black Parade.
This video uses many interesting camera techniques and has an interesting video.
Some of the inspirational things in the video are;
- The black and white filter could with the fading film filter
- the footage matches the lyrics
- the pans are slow to represent the tone
- there are sections of the video that are out of focus, when the music is emotional
- there is a flare of light when the drums kick in
- The actors are very involved and make the video interesting
- they are in appropriate costume for their genre
- the band members actually know how to play the song so makes the atmosphere more legitimate
- the small enclosed space makes the band feel more intimate and powerful
- there's a lot of high contrast and filters
- Extreme close up of the singer make the song more powerful
- filler shots relate to the story line
- ending was similar to to beginning
Machine Head - Bite the Bullet
This video also has an interesting video.
Some of the inspirational things in the video are;
- Fish eye lens
- zoom on the instruments
- Flashing light
- shaking camera
- worms eye view
- camera moved with band
- Camera left by symbols to focus more on drummer
- 'Story' links with lyrics
- band are aggressive and fits well
- Camera fades out to show the end
I fell the my chemical romance video is better than the machine head one as they apear to have spent more time on it and have shot in multiple places.
